The bright side of the Sox suffering, of course, is that they might not distract my loved ones from my birthday this year like, say, my 21st birthday or my 18th birthday or the day of my actual birth. (Okay, it was pretty cool when they won the World Series on my 18th birthday.) (But I think my Dad blamed me for Bill Buckner in ‘86.)
